How Should We Praise Our Children?

I've asked myself this question many times. My husband and I have discussed it. We even asked our moms to slow down on telling our oldest how smart he is and telling him he's the best drummer. We thought it would make him think he didn't need to try to be good at things.

We watched this video this morning. It lasts seven minutes. I think it has some good advice. We all want to tell our children they are smart and good, but it might have the opposite effect. One thing we can't overdo as parents is to tell them how much we love them.
